blockages.

2/11/03: Had another Endometrial Biopsy done

2/28/03: Had another Post Cotical test done

3/12/03: Consultation with Dr. Hill
4/9/03: Blood work done
Results: All normal
Still taking Clomid
4/21/03: Had ultrasound done to check for follicles
Results: Follicle on right ovary was 16mm and they like them to be
about 18mm so I had to let them grow!
4/22/03: I was brave and let Danny give me a shot of HCG Hormone to help
follicle burst to produce the egg.
4/23/03: Danny gave his sample at 11:30 am and at 1:00 we had our very first IUI
(Intrauterine Insemination) preformed.
5/5/03: Took Pregnancy Test
Results: Negative
5/22/03: Another Ultrasound
Results: Right side 14x12 and Left side 22x21 and 20x18 and they
gave me the HCG shot.
5/23/03: Danny gave his sample at 1:00 pm and at 2:30 we had our second
IUI. This time Danny got to perform it!
6/6/03: Took pregnancy test
Results: Negative
At this point we were very upset and decided to take a break, which was only
going to be a couple of months but it really turned into a year and a half!
1/13/05: Had a consultation with Dr. Hill again. He wanted Danny to have a SPA
(Sperm Penetration Assay). He also wanted me to have a
blood test done to check and see if I am ovulating since I haven’t
had Clomid in a year and a half.
He also informed us that I have
PCOS (Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome).
2/9/05: Results from blood test: Ovulating on my own!
2/17/05:Danny had SPA test done
Results: SPA was not performed due to low motility after overnight
incubation on day 2 of the test.
Dr. Hill put me on Metformin to lower my insulin levels from the
PCOS blocking them.
Referred Danny to an Urologist
3/4/05: Danny had his first appointment with Dr. Dutton.
Results: He didn’t feel the sperm motility was that bad and suggested that he
have a ultrasound done to check from any blockages and
also told him to stop taking hot baths for one month and come back to
see if that has made any change.
3/4/05: Danny had his ultrasound done later that day.
Results: No blockages but they did fine 2 small cysts but did not
believe they had anything to do with his sperm.
3/16/05: Had blood test done to check how I was doing on this medicine
Results: My insulin was still too high.
Referred to Endocrinologist Dr. Andrea Hayes.
So we are back to the waiting game! Danny’s appointment is 4/5/05 at 1:30pm and
mine is 4/8/05 at 9:45am. So we will see what happens next.
